Relief after the wildfire

Your generous donation will go directly toward supporting outreach efforts in fire affected schools in Butte county including Paradise Ridge Elementary (Former Ponderosa Elementary and Paradise Elementary), Pine Ridge Elementary, Concow Elementary, Advance Public Charter School, and Achieve Public Charter School. The STEMTaught Foundation visits these schools quarterly to excite students and support teachers in running hands-on STEM in their classrooms. We have a close relationship with every teacher, student, and administrator in the schools that burned in California's largest wildfire. STEMTaught came to help and our outreach is ongoing and needed over a year later.  Become part of this wonderful community working to rebuild their cities and their lives.

This is all that is left of these children's school and surrounding community. As their families rebuild their homes and lives in the ashes left behind, STEMTaught is there to provide support by making school more engaging, enjoyable, and fun.

STEMTaught Hosted a Parent STEMNight for Ponderosa Elementary Families

Between classroom outreach trips to Paradise, California STEMTaught hosted a STEM night for Ponderosa elementary families with lots of hands-on activities for students and their parents to enjoy. This activity allowed families to see what their children were doing at school with STEMtaught in the classroom. It was also a chance to enjoy burgers, hotdogs, soda pop, and friends. For us at STEMtaught, this activity solidified relationships with the community and impacted STEMTaught volunteers. It is sobering to realize the wide scope of devastation that impacted the lives of these individuals, and we have a great responsibility to serve them. It has been a year since the fire and the community is still in shambles. STEMTaught visits quarterly to volunteer in schools to visit every child's classroom in every school that burned.
